All potential revenue opportunities for Tides Canada Foundation that have been identified should be recorded in Salesforce. Observe the following process for ensuring prospective funding opportunities are appropriately identified and recorded in Salesforce.

a) Identify a new revenue opportunity

Tides Canada staff learn about potential funding opportunities an ongoing basis through a variety of channels and processes. These channels include:

  • Prospect review sessions with Executives and Board members;
  • Conversations with donors, partners or other external stakeholders;
  • Suggestions from program leads, staff, and projects;
  • Directed prospect research;
  • Tides Canada’s database of past donors and prospects; and,
  • Events, conferences or professional networks.

When new TCF revenue opportunities are identified, they must be recorded in Salesforce. Staff should observe the following guidelines to determine the correct way to record new revenue opportunities they have identified:
