Administrator Settings
You can set the specific contact role to use for matching gifts that is separate from a standard soft credit role and control exactly how that information is displayed on contact records.
Track Matching Organizations
Start by tracking organizations that provide matching and the information you want to know about how to receive those matching gifts
Matching Gift tracking on donor records
Indicate the company the donor said was a potential for a matching gift and match it to known organizations in your database.
Tracking ACCURATE soft credits
If you receive a matching gift that is larger than the amount of the donor gift, or is meant to match to multiple donors, you don't want the entire amount of the corporate gift to appear on the contact's soft credit fields. Credit just what the donor should be credited for. Not possible with standard Opportunity Contact Roles!
