Updating Revenue Notification Recipients
When a Shared Platform project receives funds, an email notification is automatically sent to the person whose Fund Role is identified as “Project Director” on the project’s Salesforce fund record. If a Project Director would like an additional staff person to receive the notifications (e.g., an administrator), we can also identify a “Secondary Contact” to receive the revenue notifications. This person’s fund role will need to be identified as Secondary Contact on the Salesforce fund record.
The information appears in the Notification Recipients section of an opportunity’s payments.

When a project director or secondary contact leaves the project and is replaced by a new staff person, it is important to update the notification recipients on all future payments.
Note: You do not need to update notification recipients on the following:
- Any new opportunities created after the fund roles are updated
- Fully paid opportunities
- Paid payments on opportunities with pending payments. Only the pending payments need to be updated.
To update the notification recipients:
- Create a fund role for the new contact, identifying their role as either Project Director or Secondary Contact and marking the status as “current”. Note: you will also need to change the status of departing staff from “current” to “former”
- Run a Salesforce report of upcoming payments for the project. Make sure you’ve added a filter for the specific project.
- a) For opportunities in the Ask Planned, Proposal/LOI Submitted, or Confirmed stage, navigate to the Opportunity Roles section and update the Fund Advisor/ Project Director and/or Secondary Fund/Project contact field. This will automatically update notification recipients on all payments.

3. b) For opportunities in the Closed Won stage, the fund advisor field cannot be edited. You will need to edit the Notification Recipients on each pending payment.
