How to split an opportunity and payment between multiple Funds
Once an opportunity is created, you can easily control how the Amount is Allocated across to different Funds.
Choosing the Funds
On the left hand side you will only see the Funds that are Available. Inactive Funds won't be listed. If you have a long list, you can filter in the search box.
As soon as you click on another Fund, the total is automatically recalculated on the right hand side. The split calculation will happen automatically.
Click Save Allocations when done.
Changing the Amounts
You can also manually edit the amount of each allocation. Make sure the total still adds up correctly. When done, click Save Allocations button.
Primary Fund
If the allocations are changed such that a different Fund now takes more of the total amount of the opportunity than the previous Fund, the Primary Fund on the opportunity will be updated.
Payment Allocations
The Payment Allocations will stay in sync based on the payment amount and the percentage of the Allocations on the Opportunity. Important Note: It will only stay in sync when a payment is unpaid. If a payment is already marked as paid, the Payment Allocations will remain the same and would need to be manually adjusted. Keep in mind, paid payments are already in Netsuite, so this will require a lot of manual manipulation in both places.
