Managing Grantee Community Users
Grantee
- Customer Community License
- Tides Community Grantee

- This combination of User License and Profile provides a Salesforce Contact access to the Grantee Portal
Add Grantee Community Users
- Navigate to the Contact record of the Grantee Contact you want to Enable as a Customer User
- Click the Manage External User button
- Hover over and click the Enable Customer User Link

- Select User License - Customer Community
- Select Profile TIDES - Community - Grantee
- Click Save
- The user should receive and email once the Community is Activated


- The Tides Canada Grantee and Advisor Communities are currently in a Preview state
- Once the state is changed to Active all users with Community Licenses will receive the following Welcome Email
- If users Community Users are created in bulk prior to Activation they will receive the welcome email unless the Generate new password and notify user immediately option in unchecked
- The link embedded in the email takes the user to Tides Canada Change Your Password Page

- Enter a Password and Confirm New Password
- Click Change Password
- You will be logged into the Grantee Portal
This step has been automated one less step for Tides staff to manage.. Activate the Community User account via the Contact (Account Record)
Once this has been created the Organization or Household account associated with the Contact will display the Manage External Account.
Manage a Grantee Community User
Login to Community as a Grantee
- Navigate to the Contact record of the Grantee Contact you want to manage
- Click the Manage External User > Login to Community as User
Remove a Customer User
Salesforce allows you to de-activate a Community User but you cannot Delete a Community User Account.
- Deactivate a Community User by unchecking the Active checkbox on the Community User Record
- Navigate to the Contact record of the Grantee Contact you want to manage
- Click the Manage External User > View Customer User
Access a Community User
- Navigate to the Contact record of the Grantee Contact you want to manage
- Click the Manage External User > View Customer User
